Crowns
A crown (also called a cap) is a
covering, usually porcelain, that protects the entire tooth.
It may be used to restore and
preserve a decayed , broken, or cracked tooth.
Crowns can also correct some cosmetic tooth problems,
giving you a better smile. You may need a crown
if:

restored to its normal shape and size
- A tooth is broken, cracked, has large
cavities, or worn fillings.
- A poor fitting or ugly old crown
- A root canal has been done
